This Privacy Policy describes how BlushReads ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by NYXEL LIMITED, handles your personal data when you use our website and related services. It covers what we collect, why, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. BlushReads is a web-based reading service. Data We Collect

What we collect depends on how you use the site. Even without an account, we may collect some basic data when you visit. In general, our data falls into three groups.

Data you give us and actions you take

Account details: you currently can sign in with Google, if you do so, we receive the basic profile data Google shares, such as your name and email address. In the future we may add sign-in by email address and other third-party logins.

Profile details you choose to add, such as a nickname or avatar.

What you do on the site: the books and chapters you read, bookmarks, reading history, purchase history and the features you use.

Purchases and transactions, including coin top-ups and membership payments (handled through PayPal — see Section 4).

The time, frequency, and length of your activity.

Messages you send us, for example when you contact support or leave feedback.

Browser and device data

The browser, device, and operating system you use, and similar characteristics.

Data your device uses to connect to the internet, including your IP address and general location (country or region).

Data collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 2).

Data from partners and third parties

Our sign-in and payment providers (Google and PayPal) confirm your identity or payment and may share limited account data so those features work.

Service providers such as hosting and analytics tools may give us technical data about how the site is used.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We (and the services we use) rely on cookies and similar technologies to run the site and understand how it is used. In this policy we refer to all of these simply as "cookies."

We use cookies to:

Create and recognize your guest account and keep you signed in.

Remember your settings and preferences.

Measure traffic and understand how many people visit and what devices they use.

Monitor performance and keep improving the site.

Support customer service.

You can accept, refuse, or clear cookies in your browser settings — usually under "options" or "preferences." If you turn cookies off, some parts of the site may not work properly.

How and Why We Use Your Data

We use the data described above for the following purposes:

Running the service: creating and maintaining your account, delivering books, and remembering your reading progress, coins, and VIP status.

Payments: processing your coin top-ups, memberships, and subscriptions.

Support and communication: answering your questions and sending service messages such as receipts or important account notices. We only send marketing messages if you opt in, and you can opt out anytime.

Improving the site: analyzing usage, fixing problems, testing new features, and gathering feedback.

Safety and security: verifying accounts, investigating suspicious activity, preventing fraud, piracy, and spam, and enforcing our Terms of Service.

Most of this happens automatically, but in some cases we review data manually — for example when investigating a security issue.

Payments

Payments are processed by PayPal. When you buy coins or a membership, PayPal handles the transaction and we receive a confirmation of what you bought so we can add coins or activate your VIP/SVIP benefits. We never see or store your full payment card or bank details. To manage or cancel a subscription, use your account settings on BlushReads or your PayPal account.

How We Share Data

We never sell your personal data. We share it only in these limited situations, and we require anyone who receives it to protect it and use it only as allowed:

Service providers who help us run the site — such as hosting, analytics, payment processing, and customer support tools — and may only use your data to provide their service to us.

Sign-in and payment providers, namely Google (login) and PayPal (payments).

Companies in our group, if we have any, to help operate and improve the service.

Authorities or other organizations when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users, the public, or us.

A buyer or successor, if the service or company is ever merged, acquired, or sold — in which case your data may transfer as part of that deal.

We do not share personally identifiable data with advertising networks without your consent.

Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and destruction — for example encryption in transit and access controls. No method of storing or sending data over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong password and don't reuse it on other sites.

Managing and Deleting Your Data, and Your Rights

You have control over your personal data:

View and update: you can access and edit your profile details in your account settings.

Delete specific data: you can remove items yourself, such as deleting a book from your shelf. Once removed, it cannot be undone.

Delete your account: you can delete your account through Profile - Settings- Account Cancellation. Once your account is deleted, you cannot reactivate it and cannot recover your reading, spending, or unlocking records, including any remaining coin balance. We will delete your data except where the law requires us to keep certain records.

Marketing and cookies: you can opt out of promotional messages anytime and manage cookies in your browser.

Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights, such as requesting a copy of your data or objecting to certain uses. To exercise any right, contact us at contact@blushreads.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we aim to respond within a reasonable time (and within any period the law requires).

Age Restriction

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to create an account or use the Service. By accessing or using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

The site is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us their data, contact us at contact@blushreads.com and we will delete it.

International Transfers

Because we and our service providers may operate in different countries, your data may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Where required, we take steps to make sure your data receives an appropriate level of protection.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as long as we need it to provide the service or complete transactions you asked for. When we no longer need it, we keep it only where we have a legitimate reason — such as meeting legal obligations, enforcing our agreements, or resolving disputes. After you delete your account, we may keep some data in an anonymized form.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know before they take effect and give you a chance to review the new version. The "Effective date" at the top shows when the latest version took effect.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, email your complaint to contact@blushreads.com and we'll do our best to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

BlushReads has zero tolerance for content that promotes violence, terrorism, racial or other discrimination, or similar harmful material; if you come across anything like this, contact us at contact@blushreads.com and we will remove it promptly.
